About the Site
This is my new non-fandom related blog, using my real name, to witter on pathetically about my writing, and to keep track of my progress.
About the Girl
Nothing very interesting to say about me, I’m a legal secretary in order to pay the rent, but what I want to be is a published author, and I’m trying to be one.
I’m a southern ponce living up north. No, I don’t say “ecki thump”, I don’t even know what that means. Though I have incoporated “eyup” into my vocabulary. Also, I have discarded two letters in the word “the”. Why bother when “I’ve been t’shop” serves your purpose equally well?
I like things to be fun and interesting, so there are times when I’m not in love with my job, but other times when I am. I like the people in charge of me to be smarter than me, and I get cross if they’re not. Nothing annoys me more at work than to find spelling or grammatical errors in an email of repremand. I tend to lose respect for my superiors when that happens. I’m sure, having said that, that there will be plenty of mistakes in this blog. I don’t care. The difference is I’m not claiming to be better than anyone.
I love Guns N’ Roses (and I have a friend who gets more annoyed than I do over the misplacement of the apostrophe) and I try to slide references to them into my writing as often as possible.
If I won the lottery, I would buy a run-down hotel/pub about ten minutes away from my current home, and spend a year doing it up nicely. We would have a home cinema in the basement, and a large gaming area on the ground floor. The rest would be packed with DVDs and Blu-Rays.
I would also have the biggest bed possible, because the one I have is small and uncomfortable, and Craig (the beloved) complains that he never has enough room. It’s about time I stopped kicking him out of bed in my determination to sleep in the starfish position.
I ask a Magic 8-Ball all of the important questions in life, then cheerfully ignore it if I don’t agree. I like Rubik’s cubes and cats cradle (I have to get over the hand-to-mouth action of smoking), and I’m fairly moody, but for some reason people still like me… most of the time.
I think that’ll do about me.
